Tunes to top off a heart-pounding power playlist

2015 has been the year of fast tempo tracks sure to pump up the volume in your workout routine. Music helps put you in “the zone” and has been shown to improve performance. Music makes us want to move. Every athlete knows, you just can’t stop the beat!

Miraculous music

Research has found listening to music during a workout routine distracts you from “negative body awareness”. It actually encourages you to push through those minor muscle aches.

Move to the beat!

Listening to music during your workout has been found to help you keep pace during exercises requiring repetitive movements such as running, walking, weight lifting and cycling. Keeping pace is easier on the body than the random fluctuation of movements.

Taking it to the limit

Cyclists were found to work harder when listening to fast tempo tracks. Songs between 120 and 140 beats per minute were found to have the optimum effect on exercisers.
